Pastor Search US is an organization dedicated to the purpose of providing tools, resources, and services to US churches seeking to fill empty pulpits. We like Paul recognize the value of a preacher. In Romans 10:14 Paul states:
“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?”
The position of the pastor in our protestant churches is the most critical link in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. Therefore it is urgent that we do everything possible to keep each church supplied with the best available person as soon as possible after a pulpit becomes vacant.
The Pastor Search US believes that churches should be staffed and managed (overseen) different that corporations, yet we should look at some of the better business practices from the corporate world and adapt them whenever they agree with godly principles.
One of the areas that industry does better than churches is in the area of personnel staffing. There are a number of professional staffing principles that should be applied to the search and placement of pastors.
Pastor Search US plans to provide links to written resources such as “white papers” on the process of a pastor search committee and process, as well as links to Internet resources that list available pastors and churches that are seeking pastors. All these are free resources.
We also provide a consulting service that is the equivalent staffing services of a professional staffing organization. Pastor Search US will provide the services that you would find in a professional staffing agency such as confidential “retained searches”, “candidate screening”, and “reference / background checks", etc.
Just as any thing with life dies when its head is cut off, so does a church. Many organizations such as college and professional sports programs make finding a coach their top priority. What is more important a sports program or a local church? The local church needs to move as quick as possible and use whatever resources it can muster to fill their pulpit as soon as possible.
